Title III Avenue to Success Academic Advisement Project

(in collaboration with Counseling and Educational Planning Department)

To assist in increasing student satisfaction with academic advising and counseling, the Title III Program allows for the implementation of an electronic sign-in system and the implementation of a Crystal Report to customize format of Degree Progress Reports (audits).

To that end, the Title III Avenue to Success Program at SCC recently purchased a sophisticated software program, Advisement Wait List System, in preparation for the Fall 2005 Term.

The program will be installed in recently purchased computers located in the following areas:

• Sanford/Lake Mary Campus, Counseling Center
  
  
• Sanford/Lake Mary Campus, Academic Success Center
  
  
• Sanford/Lake Mary Campus, Adult High School
  
  
• Oviedo Campus, Counseling Center
  

This state-of-the-art software program will facilitate the tracking of students who utilize the services available in these areas and provide a record of student retention and success.

During 2006, each tutoring station was provided with a laptop and Internet wireless access. In addition, the student log-in at each tutoring station was linked to the College's PeopleSoft system.
