Computerized Placement Test (CPT)

The CPT assesses skills in:

• Reading comprehension
• Sentence structure
• Mathematics

The CPT is administered on a walk-in basis at the Sanford/Lake Mary and Oviedo Campuses. If you are a student at SCC the CPT is free. If you are not a student at SCC the cost is $25.

Preparation for the Computerized Placement Test

The CPT (Computerized Placement Test) Prep Program assists the student in reviewing skills previously learned in English, reading and math. Students should take time to review their skills before testing. Preparing for the CPT is important. A first time test taker should study a minimum of two hours to assure the test accurately reflects their placement in English, reading and mathematics.
