Economics explores how societies decide how to use scarce resources in the satisfaction of unlimited human wants. Economists are concerned with the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services at the local, national and global level. Economics majors pursue careers such as economists, investment professionals, researchers, teachers, lawyers, politicians, and statisticians. This program provides the foundation courses for students to transfer to liberal arts economics programs in four-year colleges and universities.
