The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crimes Statistics Act

The "Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act" (originally known as the "Campus Security Act") was enacted by the United States Congress and signed into law by President George Bush in 1990. This law, which applies to all institutions of higher education, both public and private, that participate in any federal student aid programs requires schools to publicly disclose three years of campus crime statistics and basic security policies.

The Seminole Community College crime statistics have been disclosed in compliance with the aforementioned Clery Act. The College maintains a stringent campus security policy, which has resulted in minimal incidences of violent crimes, thefts and arrests. It is the hope of Seminole Community College that the statistics will reassure all students, faculty and staff that the College campus is a safe and secure institution.
