AP Biology

This is the second year we are offering the very popular Biology component of the AP Institute. We are fortunate to have Dennis Bulge from Trinity Prep High School, located in Winter Park, Fla, as the AP Workshop instructor. He is an experienced AP Biology teacher, grader and workshop leader.

This workshop is designed to help AP Biology teachers with three years of experience or less to design a representative program for their individual needs. Special attention will be given to performing and evaluating the 12 required laboratory exercises; gaining insight into the design and grading of the AP Biology exam, both multiple choice and free response portions; exchanging and discussing various techniques of content presentation; student, teacher, and text selection; and discussing the time requirements and constraints. The AP audit will be discussed and the participants concerns addressed.
