Meet Our InstructorsMichael Staley, PMPAs Dean of the SCCorporate College at Seminole Community College, Mike Staley has transformed his significant project management experience into Project Management Education. A PMP-credentialed instructor, Staley has more than 20 years of experience in "Corporate America," managing a vast array of projects ranging in size from $25,000 to more than $25 million. Many of these projects were part of complex programs and key implementations for aerospace and technology clients. He also earned his master's degree in business administration and bachelor's degrees in engineering and mathematics. His vast experience coupled with his formal education makes him a powerful instructor. He began teaching at the community college level in 1999. Karen Connors, PMPKaren Connors has managed an impressive variety of projects throughout her 20-year career, including projects for both private industry and state and federal governments. She has managed multimillion-dollar IT projects and programs (software implementation, simulation, systems integration, logistics, etc.), as well as large facilities engineering and design projects. Connors has undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering and engineering management and received her PMP credential in 2005. Holly FariesCurrently the manager for quality assurance and customer service for a national pharmaceutical distribution firm, Holly Faries has more than 25 years of experience in organizational behavior. Her strengths include gathering detailed information; assessing work styles and preferences; and facilitating the generation of new input and ideas. As Faries supports individuals in maximizing their personal strengths and learning how to improve weaknesses, she teaches teams to create new ways to communicate and work together. Throughout her career as both consultant and part-time professor at several local colleges, Faries has worked with many local, national and global companies, including Mitsubishi, Siemens, Fiserv and Symantec. John Tracy, PMPWith more than 25 years' experience in software development, John Tracy has managed over 100 major projects for national and international corporations. His responsibilities ranged from project manager to project director to program manager, managing over $200 million annually. Over the past 12 years, he has also developed and delivered project management training for both public institutions and private corporations. Tracy has earned a master's degree in business administration and has been part of SCC's PM teaching staff for the last several years. |
