Questions Your Mentor May Ask You:

  • Tell me about the type of person you were in high school before you enrolled in classes at SCC. What skills did you possess?
  • How have you changed since you enrolled at SCC?
  • Be Specific! What are your ten greatest strengths? What eight skill areas would you need to work on to be an effective leader?
  • If I were to ask your parents and your best friends to describe you to me, what would they say about your strengths and your weaknesses?
  • What motivates you to put forth your greatest effort?
  • What lessons have you learned from the mistakes you've made in life?
  • What have you learned from your participation in extracurricular activities? What have you learned from attending the Leadership Institute?
