Campus Safety or Security - Policy 6.030

Policy:

It is the policy of the Board that the College campus should be safe and secure. To accomplish this policy, the President or designee shall establish procedures which include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • a description of the emergencies and conditions to which these procedures shall apply;

  • action that should be taken by the President or other college staff under certain emergencies and conditions including the closure and evacuation of classes, offices, and buildings;

  • action that should be taken by the President or designee to prohibit the presence on campus of persons who threaten the safety or security of students, college personnel, or college property; and,

  • the use of law enforcement authorities under certain conditions.
