Planetarium Show Times:

Since 1987 the SCC Planetarium has provided the Central Florida community with a window to the stars and beyond. Part of SCC's Physical Science Department, the SCC Planetarium serves Seminole Community College students, as well as other students from universities and colleges throughout Central Florida; K-12 public and private schools; homeschoolers; scouts and Indian guides; and the general public. The SCC Planetarium is also home to one of the largest astronomical societies in the Southeast.

• Friday and Saturday Evening Shows start at 8:30 p.m.
• Evening Shows: Free telescope viewings for the general public will be held on the first, third and fifth Friday of each month, after Central Florida Nights, if weather permits.
• No one will be admitted or readmitted during the show!

Note: Due to construction on SCC's Sanford/Lake Mary Campus, Weldon Boulevard is closed to through traffic.

Central Florida Astronomical Society

The SCC Planetarium is honored to be the home of the Central Florida Astronomical Society. General Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Planetarium. Members of the public are always welcome.

The Southern Nights Astronomical League of Florida provides a one-stop resource to astronomy in Florida. Special astronomical events, education, research, astronomical organizations, planetaria, observatories, space programs and more, can be found in the Southern Nights Bookmarks and Calendar sections—not only for Southern Nights members, but the general public and tourists as well.
