    Physical Science

Seminole Community College offers a wide variety of physical sciences classes for students pursuing careers in science-related fields.  Physical sciences encompass chemistry, earth sciences (astronomy, geology, meteorology and oceanography) and physics.

The majority of SCC students are pursuing degrees in engineering, computer science, various medical careers, technology or other pre-professional programs.

Students who successfully complete the prescribed curriculum for these majors at SCC and transfer to senior universities generally perform equal to or better than native university students do.  The small classes offered at SCC allow students to get the extra help and direction needed to better understand and master the basic concepts of science necessary to excel in advanced work.

Additionally, the College’s new science laboratory building offers students state-of-the-art science labs.  Coupled with the small classroom environment, student learning is maximized, especially through the constant interaction between instructors and students.
