Tampa General Healthcare Nursing Student Scholarship Program

Purpose:

The Nursing Student Scholarship Program provides financial support for students in their final two semesters of an educational program leading to an associate degree in nursing.

Eligibility:

• Classified as a senior nursing student entering the last two semesters of an associates nursing program.
• Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, using a 4.0 scale.
• Two letters of recommendation from current nursing faculty that describe the student's academic and clinical abilities as well as their potential for contributing to the nursing profession.
• Completion of the Nursing Student Scholarship Program application form.
• Completion of signed agreement with Tampa General Healthcare, agreeing to work as a Registered Nurse, 64 or more hours in a 2 week period, for two years after graduation and subsequent licensure.
• If requested, an interview with a member of Nursing Administration.

Amount:

The scholarship award consists of $750.00 for the Fall semester and $750.00 for the Spring semester. Please be advised these funds are subject to income tax.
