Orlando Regional Healthcare Retroactive Tuition Assistance ProgramOrlando Regional Healthcare is offering a Retroactive Tuition Assistance Program to Graduate Nurses who are eligible to attend the 2004 Orlando Regional Graduate Nurse program and who have/will graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing Program. The applicants for this program must be currently employed or agree to employment at an Orlando Regional Healthcare facility (Arnold Palmer Hospital, Orlando Regional Medical Center, Lucerne Hospital, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Orlando, St. Cloud Hospital, South Seminole Hospital or Sand Lake Hospital) and meet eligibility requirements. The recipient may elect to participate in a one-year or two-year program. Retroactive Tuition Assistance Available
Eligibility RequirementsGNs having accepted a full-time or variable full-time 24/7 Registered Nurse position (Job Code 1952) will be eligible for consideration. Past work/student commitment and past work/student performance at Orlando Regional as well as financial need will be taken into consideration. Any student who attended a college or university in the United States is eligible to apply. Applicants must disclose any scholarship assistance or reimbursement received for twenty-four (24) months prior to graduation. Payment ConditionsOrlando Regional Healthcare will process a check for Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) to be paid to the team member during the Graduate Nurse program. The remaining monies will be paid to the team member after the following requirements have been met: completion of the Graduate Nurse program, receipt of RN licensure, completion of orientation, completion of the Performance Based Development System (PBDS) reassessment, if necessary. Employment RequirementsTeam member must remain in a full-time or variable full-time 24/7 Registered Nurse position (Job Code 1952) for the full commitment period. If selected, recipient will be required to sign a promissory note and an agreement to work for Orlando Regional Healthcare for agreed upon amount of time-12 or 24 months. Should the team member fail to maintain all eligibility requirements for the full commitment period, for any reason, the entire tuition assistance provided shall be returned immediately to Orlando Regional Healthcare.
