Information Sessions

SCC's Nursing Information Sessions:

  • Introduce the programs, application process and selection criteria used to evaluate students
  • Allow you to ask questions and participate in informational discussions
  • Provide the application and procedures for entering the program of your choice
  • Do not require an appointment
  • Begin promptly at their scheduled start time and run approximately two hours
Notice to Prospective Students:
  • You must attend an information session before you can apply to the SCC Nursing Program.
  • You must sign in when you arrive to verify your attendance.
  • When attending an information session, you should bring note-taking supplies (paper and a writing utencil) and the appropriate program information packet. A limited number of packets will be available at each session for students who do not have Internet access.
  • Due to the importance of the information being presented, latecomers will not be seated and should plan to attend the next session.
  • Due to facility limitations, guests cannot be accommodated at the sessions.

Reminders:

The application you receive at the information session is for the Nursing Program only and is not an application to Seminole Community College. You must apply and be accepted to SCC before you can apply to the Nursing Program.

When you are accepted as an SCC student, it does not mean you have been accepted to the Nursing Program. The Nursing Program has its own application procedures and requirements. Refer to each degree program's specific admissions requirements for more information.

Credit for attending an information session is good for one year only. If you do not apply to the Nursing Program within one year of the date of your information session, you must attend another session to receive a new application.
