Requirements:

  • All students entering a healthcare program with a clinical component will be required to complete a criminal background check. Students must be free of offenses, which could potentially disqualify them from working in a healthcare environment (Florida Statute 400.211). Admission into clinicals is at the discretion of the clinical agencies.
  • Minimum age of 17 years old
  • Apply to SCC for admission
  • TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) -no minimum score required
  • Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) background check (prior to clinical rotation)
  • Proof of a Negative TB Skin Test or Chest X-Ray if required

Entry Date:

  • Check current class schedule. ("Spectrum")
  • Courses offered only in Fall and Spring Terms (day and/or evening)
Program Cost:

Note: All fees are approximate and subject to change without notice.

  • Tuition for all 3 courses: $490.00 (in-state)
  • Lab fees for all 3 courses: $65.00
  • Textbook (required): $70.00
  • State Certification Exam: see - www.experioronline.com for current fees
  • Supplies and additional costs include: TB skin test, uniform/shoes,
  • Nametag, water-resistant watch w/ second hand
