SCC MCSE Certificate

This certificate is designed to enable the student to administer and manage complex local area networks as well as wide are networks using Microsoft Windows environments. The certificate prepares the student for the role of network administrator, network designer, network integrator, and network analyst in the enterprise environment. The courses will prepare students to take the Network Plus certification exam and the Microsoft Windows exams in preparation for the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification.

What is the MCSE Certification?

The MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) certification program is designed to provide you with the skills to:

• Analyze an organization's business requirements.
• Design and implement the infrastructure for business solutions based on the Microsoft Windows platform and Microsoft server products.

How does SCC prepare me for the MCSE exams?

The courses taken at SCC are official Microsoft courses and use Microsoft sanctioned materials. To fully prepare for the MCSE exams, the following courses should be taken:

• CET 1600C - Cisco Networking Fundamentals (Net+)
• CTS 1171 - Supporting Microsoft Windows XP Professional
• CTS 2131C- Microsoft Windows Server 2003
• CTS 2340C- WindowsServer  2003 Network Infrastructure
• CTS 2162C- Microsoft Windows 2003 Active Directory Services
• CTS 2307C- Designing a MS Windows Server 2003 AD and Network Infrastructure

Additionally, SCC recommends that you take at least two of the following courses to be fully prepared to take the exams:

• CTS 2433C - Microsoft SQL Design and  Implementation
• CEN 2306C - Microsoft Exchange Administration
• CEN 2316C - Microsoft Exchange Implementation
• CET 2561C - Microsoft SQL Server Admin
• CTS 2316C - Designing Security for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network
• CTS 2308C - Planning and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure
