Why do I have to create an account?

All SCC students are required to create their own Login Name and Password during their first visit to MySCC in order to access their student records.

How do I create a MySCC Student Account?

1. Visit my.scc-fl.edu
2. Click on the Create New Student Account link on the MySCC login page.
3. Enter your Social Security Number (it is not necessary to enter the hyphens). If you do not have a Social Security Number, contact the International Student Office, or call 407.708.2050 to obtain the appropriate information to create your student account.
4. Enter your date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY) including both digits of the month and day and four digits for the year.
5. Using CAPITAL letters, create a Login Name of your choice between five and eight characters in length (letters and numbers only, no spaces or punctuation). Your Login Name is your universal access ID to all SCC computer resources. xample: JOHNDOE1, 123JANE
6. Create a Password of your choice with at least four characters. Your Password is case sensitive.
7. Confirm your Password by re-entering the Password you created in step six.
8. Enter your preferred e-mail address.
9. Confirm your e-mail by re-entering the same e-mail address as the one you entered in step eight.
10. For authentication purposes, you will be asked to answer a security question when resetting your password electronically. Click on the drop-down arrow to select a question. Select the question you would like to use as your security question.
11. Provide the Response to the question you selected in step ten.
12. Click on the Save button.
13. Confirm your Login Name, Password and e-mail by selecting OK.
14. Your MySCC account has been activated. Click Logout and use your new Login Name and Password to access MySCC.

What if I don't have a Social Security Number?

Students who do not have a Social Security Number should contact the International Student Office at the SCC Admissions Department or call 407.708.2050 to obtain the appropriate information to create their account.

What is a Login Name?

Your Login Name is your universal access ID to all SCC computer resources. In addition to accessing MySCC, your Login Name will be used to create your MyMail (student e-mail) account and provide you access to the College's network system. Therefore, you are encouraged to use good judgment when choosing your Login Name.

Your Login Name must consist of at least five characters and no more than eight. (Letters and numbers only - no spaces or punctuation.) Your Login Name must also be in all capital letters. Examples: JAMES24, DIAZM, etc.

Make sure you remember your Login Name!

What is a Password?

Your Password is the second half of the Login validation process. It must include at least five characters and is case sensitive.

Why am I required to select a Question and provide a Response when creating my MySCC account?

If you forget your Password, you can reset it electronically. The Question and Response you provided while creating your account will be used to authenticate you when resetting your Password.

How do I change my Password?

1. Login to MySCC
2. Click on the Change My Password on the left menu.
3. Click on Change Password.
4. Enter your current password and then choose a new password.

Forgot my Password.  How do I reset my Password?

If you forget your MySCC Password, you can electronically reset it by following the instructions below:

1. Go to the MySCC Web site: my.scc-fl.edu
2. Click the Forgot Your Login Name or Password link.
3. Enter your Login Name OR Social Security Number and your date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY).
4. Select Continue.
5. Answer your security question for user authentication.
6. Click Submit Request.
7. Your Password has been reset using the following format: The first initial of your first name (upper case), the first initial of your last name (upper case), the six digits of your birth date (YYMMDD).
   Example: If your name is John Doe and you were born on March 1, 1977, your Password would be: JD770301
8. Click Ok.
9. Login to MySCC with your new Password.
10. Change your Password to a secret Password only you will know.  

What is an SCC ID number?

This seven-digit number uniquely identifies you in the College's student records system. Upon your admission to the College, you will be assigned an SCC ID number, which, for your personal security, will be used for identification purposes throughout your career at SCC instead of your Social Security Number.

Once you are logged in, you can find your SCC ID number in the "welcome" bar at the top of your MySCC pages OR by clicking the Demographic Data link under Personal Information.

How do I access FACTS.org (Florida Academic Counseling and Tracking For Students)?

To access FACTS.org, you will be required to login to the system with your Student ID (same as your SCC ID number) and your PIN. Your default FACTS PIN is the last four digits of your Social Security Number. If you do not have a Social Security Number, your default PIN is the last four digits of your SCC ID number, which you can find by logging into MySCC (your SCC ID number is located in the "welcome" bar at the top of the page).

How do I change my FACTS PIN?

To change your FACTS PIN, login to MySCC and select the "Personal Identification" link from the Personal Information menu and follow the directions listed on the page.
