Medical Assistant Program

Due to statewide budget cuts, Seminole Community College is not registering students for the Medical Assisting program. We are sorry for any inconvenience this might have for potential students.

As an alternative, Seminole Community College does have other health programs which might be of interest and are enrolling students. These include:
  • Practical Nursing
  • Certified Nurse Assisting
  • Medical Coding
  • Medical Transcription
  • Associate Degree Nursing
  • Respiratory Care
  • Physical Therapist Assistant

The MA Program at SCC is a comprehensive three-term program that will provide students with the highest quality classroom and lab instruction available. Its objective is to train students to acquire exemplary skills and to be able to demonstrate competence in a variety of medical office procedures, duties and techniques under the direct supervision of the physician.

Why should I attend this Medical Assistant Program?
  • The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).  SCC's program is one of only a few in Central Florida.
  • Training in both administrative and clinical skills.
  • Combined classroom instruction with hands-on experience in medical offices.
