Vanetta Grier Felix completed her undergraduate and graduate studies in mathematics at Florida State University. She taught high school for 10 years. In pursuit of her career goal, she began teaching as an adjunct instructor at SCC in a 2000. In the Fall of 2003 she achieved her goal of becoming a full-time professor at SCC. Professor Felix has a passion for teaching and helping others. In addition to teaching, Professor Felix is also a licensed cosmetologist. She also enjoys planning parties, making things rather sewing or arts and crafts, and she enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons. Professor Felix is known for her serious but passionate personality.
