Library Instruction Requirements:
Faculty should be present whenever possible. Students retain more from a library instruction when the professor is present. Also, knowledge of how to use the library is reinforced when research is necessary to complete an assignment.
All students will need to log into the LINCC Catalog and databases; therefore, ensure that all students have their SCC ID cards and that the card has been activated by the circulation desk staff prior to the instruction. This will allow students to be active in the hands-on portion of the instruction.
Library Instruction is tailored for individual professors and current course assignments. Concepts and strategies, fundamental to Information Literacy Standards, (ACRL) will be included. |
