General Psychology Library Assignment

The purpose of this assignment is to familiarize you with the journal research materials at the Seminole Community College Library. Please complete the following exercises by typing and printing your responses for each exercise separately.

Part I: Become Aware of the Various Journals Available for Psychology

Using Psychline, make a list of the titles of four different psychology journals. Describe in two to three sentences the specific focus or scope of each journal.

Directions on How to Use Psychline:

 Click on the link above.

  • When the Psychline home page opens, click "Journal Locator."
  • To search Psychline for journals by topic, use the "by subject" category.
  • Click the arrow to view a listing of broad psychology subjects. Make your selection and click "Search."

Your results will be titles of related journals. When you click the name of a journal, you will be taken to the publisher's Web page, where you can find information on the journal. You may need to find a link on the page that says "product information" or "about us" or "aim and scope."
