Faculty, Cheryl Knodel, IIDA

Cheryl Knodel, a practicing, Florida-licensed interior designer, is the newest full-time faculty member to join the SCC Interior Design Program. She received her bachelor's degree in interior design from Florida State University and has more than 19 years of practical design experience in the residential, corporate and hospitality design segments.

Knodel has participated in the study-abroad programs, "Understanding French Furniture and Design," in Paris, France, and "Classical Design in Italy," in Venice, Veneto and Florence, Italy. She is a professional member of the International Interior Design Association (IDAA) and is the past IIDA Central Florida City Center Director, as well as a member of the IIDA Florida Chapter Board of Directors. Today, Cheryl continues to operate her own design practice as she teaches at SCC, incorporating real-world experiences and scenarios into her curriculum.
