Why do you enjoy teaching at SCC?
I enjoy my freedom to be creative; the support of students; the opportunity to teach and do many different things; and my interesting colleagues.
What is your personal educational philosophy?
Students are capable of learning much. They simply need a safe and stimulating learning environment and to be guided and assisted as necessary. Students have many learning styles that need to be respected and nurtured while their skills and knowledge develop.
What would most people be surprised to learn about you?
I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and enjoy scuba diving (to 152 feet, in the Red Sea, in Fiji, and in other interesting locales).
What are your hobbies or special interests?
Painting wall murals, scuba diving and wallyball.
