Steps to Enroll

1 Fill out an Application

To obtain an application for admission:

  • Call 407.708.2050.
  • Print it from the SCC Web site (SCC application for admission).
  • Pick one up from any SCC facility: the Sanford/Lake Mary, Oviedo or Altamonte Springs Campuses, or the Heathrow Center.
2 Verify your Residency Status
If sufficient documentation is not provided, you will not be able to register for classes. The deadline for documentation is always the day before each term begins. This deadline is strictly observed.
3 Complete an Entrance Exam
If you have taken the SAT or ACT, an official copy must be on file in SCC’s Records Office before your advising appointment. If you have not taken either test, the Computerized Placement Test (CPT) is provided on walk-in basis. Click here for testing hours.
4 Complete your Financial Aid Form
If you have not applied for financial aid, do so immediately at www.fafsa.ed.gov. It usually takes four to six weeks to determine your eligibility.
5 Provide your Transcripts
Official transcripts from your high school and any colleges you have attended must be sent to SCC's Records Office, 100 Weldon Blvd., Sanford, FL 32773. Your transcripts must be received two months prior to your advising appointment to provide adequate time for the SCC Records Office to evaluate them before you register for classes.
6Create your MySCC Student Account
Visit www.scc-fl.edu and click on MySCC. Follow the instructions to create a new student account. If you have questions, click on the MySCC Help link or call the MySCC help line at 407.708.2050.
7 View SCC’s Online Orientation
Orientation is mandatory for all new students. During orientation you will learn about College policies and procedures and campus activities. For more information, please call 407.708.2050. Click here to view online orientation.
8 Meet with an Adviser

Following your online orientation, you will have the opportunity to meet with an academic adviser. The adviser will use your test scores and transcripts to help you plan your course schedule. Please bring with you to your advising appointment either:

  • Your evaluated, unofficial SCC transcript, accessible via MySCC
  • Your unofficial transcripts from any previous colleges you may have attended. Please note: transcripts that have not been evaluated by SCC's Records Office will affect your class selection.
9 Register for Classes
Following advisement, you will register for classes.
10 Pay Fees

After you register for your classes, check your "Total Due Charges" on MySCC to find out how much you owe the College and your payment due date. You can pay at a cashier window or online using MySCC. SCC accepts cash, debit card, personal check, American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.

Defer Fees

If you are receiving financial aid, you must accept/decline your financial aid and sign a deferment. Log in to MySCC and click on "Accept Aid and Defer Payment." Click here for instructions.

Congratulations, you are now a Raider! Purchase your books and go to class!
