SCC Adult High School/GED Program Scholarships

These scholarships are designated for SCC Adult High School or GED program graduates.

How to Apply

Complete an SCC Scholarship Application.

Return all required documents to:

Be sure to attach your application essay and two letters of recommendation to your scholarship application. These are required in order for you to be considered for any scholarships. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Following is a list of available Adult High School/GED Program Scholarships:
Adult Education Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.0 GPA.
  • Must be a single parent who is attending or is graduating from the Adult High School.
  • Scholarship should be used to pay for childcare.
  • Award Amount: Varies with need.
Adult High School Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.0 GPA.
  • Must be a graduate of the Adult High School planning on returning to SCC for higher education.
  • Award Amount: $200 for one semester, pays for tuition and fees.
Adult High School Transitional Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.0 GPA.
  • Must be a graduate of the Adult High School planning on returning to SCC for higher education.
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semester, pays for tuition and fees.
Bertha B. Valentine Memorial Scholarship
  • Require a 280 GED score.
  • Must be a graduate of SCC's GED program and be returning to SCC for higher education.
  • Award Amount: $375 for two semesters, pays for tuition and fees.
GED Success Scholarship
  • Requires a GED score of 280.
  • Must be returning to SCC for higher education.
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters.
Herman and Nana Klein Scholarship
  • Requires a GPA of 2.5.
  • Must be a graduate of SCC's Adult High School and returning to SCC for higher education.
  • Award Amount: Up to $1,000 for two semesters, pays for tuition and fees.
Selma M. Caisse Memorial GED Scholarship
  • Requires a GED score of 280 and obtained a GED.
  • Must be returning to SCC for higher education.
  • Award Amount: $375 for two semesters, pays for tuition and fees.
Seminole County Sheriff's Office Good Student Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.5 GPA.
  • Must have never been convicted of a felony.
  • Cannot be used in conjunction with another scholarship.
  • Must be a graduate of SCC's Adult High School returning to SCC for higher education.
  • Award Amount: $750 for two semesters, pays for books, tuition and fees.
