Scholarship Application Procedures

The first step is understanding what category your scholarship falls under: general scholarships, program-specific scholarships and scholarships for high school graduates.

These categories are awarded differently and have different application procedures. Scholarship application instructions are also listed on each category page, if you have further questions.

General Scholarship Application Procedures

The following are general application procedures. Application requirements may vary for each scholarship, but applicants are not required to select a specific scholarship. By filling out one application form, the Admissions Office, SCC Foundation and Financial Aid staff will work together to provide applicants with the scholarship support for which they qualify. For any questions regarding the scholarship application procedures or the status of an application, contact Eve Hudson in the Admissions Office at 407.708.2134 or hudsone@scc-fl.edu

  • If you are not currently enrolled, apply for admission to SCC.

  • Review your materials to ensure you have submitted all required documents. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • Attach all required documents to the application form(s).

You can mail your application to:

Those applicants who are awarded a scholarship will receive a letter in the mail before the start of the next semester. They will be able to view the amount of their award via their MySCC account. Only recipients will be notified of awards.

Program-Specific or High School Graduate Scholarships

Students who wish to apply for these scholarships will need to apply for each one individually.

  • If you are not currently enrolled, apply for admission to SCC.
  • Complete the SCC Scholarship Application Form.
  • Review your materials to ensure you have submitted all required documents for each scholarship; some scholarships require more than two letters of recommendation, proof of residency, etc. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
  • Attach all required documents to the application form(s).
  • Submit all required forms to the listed department. If you are applying for a high school graduate scholarship and you are still attending your high school, you may return your application forms to your guidance counselor.

If you have questions on any of these instructions, send an e-mail to Lisa Massing, Scholarship and Proposal Coordinator.
