Presidents' Club Advisory Council
Foundation Board Update

The Presidents' Club Background

Since 1965, Seminole Community College has had only two Presidents, Dr. Earl S. Weldon and Dr. E. Ann McGee. Given Dr. Weldon's distinguished legacy of more than 30 years of service and Dr. McGee's leadership since 1996, the Presidents' Club serves as a timely tribute to their leadership.

The Presidents’ Club was created to strengthen and support Seminole Community College. Comprised of SCC alumni, employees and community partners, the Presidents' Club is a great way to support current students while providing an opportunity to network with this distinct group of friends of SCC.

The Presidents' Club Purpose

The Presidents' Club consists of individual and corporate donors who contribute a minimum annual unrestricted gift of $1,000. These gifts are then applied at the discretion of the College President and the SCC Foundation Board of Directors to the areas of greatest need at the College.

Advisory Council Purpose

At the suggestion of the Foundation's Board of Directors, the Presidents’ Club Advisory Council was designed to bring together leaders from Seminole County and Central Florida, representing a variety of industries, corporations and interests, who have a commitment to education and Seminole Community College. The Advisory Council will allow the Foundation and the College to engage a larger percentage of Presidents’ Club members, as well as identify new leadership for the Foundation Board of Directors.

The Presidents’ Club Advisory Council will also strive to expand memberships in the Presidents’ Club, improve social and networking events and further develop membership benefits. The Advisory Council will also oversee the selection of the annual Faculty and Staff Mini-Grant Awards, which are funded every fall semester.
