March 2006: Do the Right Thing so Your Grants Don't have to be Risky Business

Incubating an idea and developing a project into a funding proposal is only one aspect of the entire grant implementation process. Just as important, is the management of the grant. Compliance issues, the fast-changing accountability structure and matters related to systematizing and institutionalizing the post-award management process was the focus of this workshop. Administrative rules and regulations from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) circulars and various federal and state agencies' regulations and program rules were introduced and discussed.

Workshop Facilitator:

Elizabeth Gombash, Assistant Vice President, Resource Development at Valencia Community College, has extensive experience working with federal grant agencies. She also has an excellent reputation for consulting with institutions of higher education in the grants management process.
