Letter from The Campaign Chairs

Greetings fellow Faculty and Staff Members at SCC!

We are pleased to announce the official kick-off of the Second Annual Blue & Gold Circle Campaign! Each day at SCC, we are all responsible for the College's ability to successfully offer instruction and outreach to our students. Regardless of the campus where we work, the job that we do, or the division that we are in, it takes every one if us to fulfill SCC's mission and help students be themselves, only better.

Who has better first-hand knowledge of the quality of our programs than those dedicating their professional lives to SCC? As employees of the College, membership in the Blue & Gold Circle reaffirms our commitment to the SCC community, to education and to the goal we all work to fulfill each day--advocating the success of SCC students. Building on the success of last year's campaign, our goal is to improve participation to 100 percent.

This year we have identified the Blue & Gold Circle's campaign priorities to be: Access and Excellence. Your participation will help to increase access to education for students through scholarship opportunities and recognize the excellence of our faculty and staff through variety of awards, honors and scholarships.

As the people of Florida continue to rely on community colleges, SCC is committed to providing access and maintaining excellence for its students, faculty and staff. Now more than ever, our gifts to the College are needed. When the Foundation reaches out and asks for community assistance, it sends a powerful message that faculty and staff participate as a group to support SCC. If we support the College, in turn, our community partners will follow our lead and lend their support as well.

As co-chairs of the 2007 faculty and staff campaign, we invite you to join the Blue & Gold Circle by making a gift to SCC and helping to achieve our participation goal. A personalized pledge card is attached so you can join our efforts. Please use this card to make a direct gift via check or credit card or establish a payroll deduction. Either way, simply return that pledge card provided through campus mail by Oct. 31.
