Fire Science Faculty/Staff

Rob Holborn, Ed.D, EMT-P. - Fire Science/EMS Department Chair Holborn boasts 23 years of experience as a firefighter/paramedic and 15 years as an instructor. He is a member of the National Association of EMS Educators and is involved in several fire and EMS committees across the state.

Carlos Lantes, A.S. EMT-P - Fire Science Program Coordinator/Lead Paramedic Professor Lantes is a retired Lieutenant from the City of Miami Fire Department after over 20 years of service. With over 15 years of teaching experience, he is an Instructor Trainer through the American Heart Association along with being involved in various EMS committees.

Michael Hoening, A.S. EMT - Fire Standards Lead Professor (Evening Class) Hoening is one of the founding members of the SCC Fire Training program. He has been instructing for over 23 years and served as a firefighter for over 25 years. Hoening is a retired division chief with the City of Sanford Fire Department and is currently involved in a variety of fire science committees and organizations.

Michael Aiken, A.S. EMT - Fire Standards Lead Professor (Day Class) Aiken is currently a Lieutenant with the City of Orlando Fire Department with 19 years of fire fighter service under his belt. He has been an instructor for 15 years and is involved in a variety of fire science committees and organizations.

Billy Dover, B.S. EMT-P - Fire Science/Fire Officer/Fire Safety Inspector Professor Dover has been a firefighter/paramedic for over 20 years and has been teaching the fire inspection program for over 10 years. He is a Lieutenant with the Reedy Creek Fire Department and serves on various fire safety committees across the country.

Robert McGraw, A.S. EMT-P - EMS Program Coordinator/Lead Paramedic Professor McGraw has been a paramedic for over a decade and taught for the past eight years. He is an Instructor Trainer through the American Heart Association and is involved in many EMS committees.

Lertrina Scott, Donna Lenahan - Senior Staff Assistants Scott and Lenahan assist students with any questions regarding the Fire Science program.
