Fire Science Admission Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 18 years of age
  • Complete College Placement Test (CPT)
  • Completion of SCC application process
  • Complete a physical examination from a licensed physician certifying ability to participate in continuous strenuous physical activity.

Students who have completed the Firefighters minimum standards or EMT program at SCC may be awarded physical education credit for training and experience. Up to 3 semester hours of non-duplicated credits may be awarded.
