Economics

The American Economic Association is the largest organization for economists in the United States. Approximately 22,000 economists are members and 5,500 institutes subscribe. Members are primarily from academic institutions (50%) business and industry (35%), and the rest are with some level of government.

There is an organization for women in economics under the American Economics Association, the CSWEP:

There is a Committee on the Status of Minority Groups in the Economics Profession under the AEA. (CSMGEP)

There is a Committee on Economic Education under the AEA. The mission of the Committee is to improve the quality of economics education at all levels: pre-college, college, adult, and general education.
