Newspapers

Newspapers differ in reliability. The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and The Washington Post are national publications with huge staffs to validate economic news. Regional and local publications may be less reliable. The Orlando Sentinel and Sanford Herald are good sources for local economic information

Magazines

More recent information is likely to be found in magazines, newspapers, and journals. Magazines and newspapers are less reliable sources of information than books. This is because they are written and published faster, and frequently facts are not as well checked. In addition, you may find more bias and prejudice in such periodicals. Business Week, Time, Newsweek, have huge staffs and somewhat better reliability than many publications, but they can make blunders too, and may, in a rush to publish, give less than a balanced view.
