Distance Learning Standards and Accreditation

Please take a moment to review the "Principles of Good Practice" published electronically by the Southern Regional Electronic Campus (SREC) and developed by the Southern Regional Educational Board (SREB).  All distance learning courses at SCC should follow these guidelines.

The SCC Distance Learning Advisory committee has also developed the following documents to be used by departments and course designers to assist in the development of new DL courses.  These documents have been created in cooperation with several of our faculty members with experience developing and conducting DL courses and in conjunction with SACS guidelines for distance learning course development and delivery.  Both documents are available in pdf format at the links below:
