Training and Development

The Learning Connection offers instructor-led workshops to help SCC faculty and staff acquire and update the skills necessary for their jobs. The Learning Connection offers training in the areas of: Teaching and Learning; Leadership; Work, Life and WorkLife; Management; and Toolbox (software training and other training necessary for performing tasks at SCC).

Workshops are offered for those software products that are considered SCC standards. This includes Windows, GroupWise, INFOConnect, Excel, Word, Internet tools, McAfee, Access, FrontPage, and PowerPoint. Schedules of courses are regularly printed in the SCC Learning Connection calendar, delivered via e-mail and posted to the SCC HelpDesk Bulletin Board on the web. Training is not offered for all software an individual may use on a daily basis. Training for software products not offered by Computing and Telecommunication Services may be available from Computer Institute.
