Access to Services

Acquiring Access and Service

User Access

In order to access and use SCC's network resources, each employee is required to use a login name and password for each system including the network, GroupWise e-mail and PeopleSoft (MySCC).

To have a network name assigned and obtain access to these systems, the employee is required to complete a User Access Request Form and have it signed by their supervisor. Incomplete forms will be returned to the contact name on the form.

Please note: The employee's EMPLID is required. The form will not be processed without this number.

Service Request

For requests other than user access employees should use the Service Request Form. This form can be used to request:

  • PC software installation or hardware repair
  • PeopleSoft reports or programs
  • scan and grade bubble sheets (accompanied by the Bubble Scan Cover Sheet)

Access and Service requests are entered into a tracking system to:

  • provide a physical trail of all requests for services,
  • help CTS develop work schedules for it's teams,
  • allow users to verify the status of their requests,
  • and ensure that the services provided by CTS are equitably distributed among the areas of the College ensuring quality and prompt assistance to users.
Acquiring Telecommunications Access

Each supervisor is responsible for requesting and authorizing a Long Distance Authorization Code for his/her employees.
