College Reach-Out Program

College Reach Out Program (CROP)

Students in sixth through 12th grade are invited to join the next generation of college-bound students in the College Reach-Out Program/Club 700. Seminole Community College has initiated Club 700 which allows CROP to become the most comprehensive and far-reaching pre-collegiate program possible.

The College Reach-Out Program (CROP)/Club 700 welcomes the motivated, the committed and the resourceful to participate in programming that is not only educational, but free! Don't be overlooked. CROP/Club 700 participants benefit not only from the boundless doors opened by our program, but have the edge on the college-bound competition.

Throughout the academic year CROP/Club 700 students will have  opportunities to interact with peers, build on skills taught in Seminole County Public Schools and acquire new skills and knowledge benefitting them in their pursuit of a postsecondary education.

What does CROP offer?

There are several programs available for students to gain academic and personal development:

  • Saturday Academy - Offers language arts and math assistance.
  • Test Preparation - Provides concentrated assistance prior to the FCAT, ACT and SAT administration.

  • College Tours and Field Trips - Opportunities for students to gain first-hand exposure to colleges and universities with special tours and visits. Students also have other planned activities and trips.
What is the cost to participate?

The program services are free to all students; however, minimal costs may be associated with the college tours and field trips. All costs, if any, will be kept to a minimum.
