Importing text from Word

Many times you may wish to create Web pages from content already created using Microsoft Word. Unfortunately, using copy and paste from Word creates many problems because of the non-standard HTML code it produces. To aid you in your conversion efforts, there is a special tool that will allow you to paste from Word by removing the formatting while preserving the text and layout.

To import text from a Word document:

  1. Copy the text from your Word document
  2. Click the "paste from Word" icon on the editing screen ( icon).
  3. A pop-up window will appear, paste the text into that window.
  4. Make sure the "remove styles" check box is checked.
  5. Click "Insert" to import the text, or "Cancel" to cancel the function.
  6. You may now edit or format your text using the CMS content editor.
