Classification of Students- Freshman: A student having less than 24 semester hours of earned credit.
- Sophomore: A student having 24 or more semester hours of earned credit.
- Non-Degree-Seeking Student: A student admitted for purposes other than earning a degree. Non-degree-seeking students are limited to 12 credits and may not enroll for an English or math course or any course with an English or math prerequisite.
- Transient Students: Students who are registered for one term at Seminole Community College with the approval of some other college or university, where they are regularly enrolled, or those SCC students temporarily in attendance at another college or university with the approval of SCC.
- Audit Students: Students who are admitted to college classes on a noncredit basis. Audit students must complete the admission procedures. Attendance requirements are established by the instructor. Students may not register as an auditing student or change from an audit to credit student beyond the drop/add period.
Enrollment Verification: Full/Part-Time Hours- College: 12 hours/6-11 hours
- Vocational: 15 hours/7.5-14.5 hours
- Social Security: 21 hours/20 hours or less
- GED/ABE: 15 hours/12 hours
- ESOL: 20 hours/12 hours
- High School: Full-time days, 18 hours (minimum three classes; each class must have six contact hours); Full-time nights, 12 hours (minimum two classes; each class much have six contact hours)
