Faculty, Roger H. Portman, Ph.D., MBA

Roger Portman received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Marquette University and his PhD degree in Chemistry from Penn State University. He then received an MBA degree in Finance from the University of California at Berkeley.

Dr. Portman has more than 30 years of industry experience working for both large and small medical corporations. Major companies he has worked for include, Johnson & Johnson and Syncor International, where he served as Director of New Business Development. Dr. Portman was Vice President for the Consulting Division of Biomedical Business International, where he directed more than 40 proprietary consulting projects for both U.S. and international medical companies.

Dr. Portman's areas of expertise include new business development, new product marketing, financial analysis and long-range strategic planning. In addition to his industry experience, he has also owned a number of small businesses in California and Florida.
