Hawkins, Vice President Educational Programs/Chief Learning Officer.

The competitive selection process was rigorous and included being nominated by peers; students or administrators; a brief philosophy of teaching from the nominee; surveys completed by the College community; classroom visits by a screening committee which included a cross section of past winners, faculty and department chairs; objective data supplied by Institutional Research, and finalist interviews with the Foundation Board, administrators of the award funding. Additionally, objective data compared course completion rates, grade distribution and multiple terms of student evaluations.
