General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program

SCC - Seminole Community College General Motors ASEP Program

Seminole Community College and General Motors Corporation are pleased to offer the General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program (GM-ASEP). This unique program combines the technical training facility at SCC with regional General Motors dealers in a cooperative effort to produce highly qualified and trained technicians. Unique in its design and implementation of training, this is not just another automotive training program

The national success of the GM-ASEP Program is documented by the number of qualified technicians who have graduated and are now successful in the work force.

SCC has won national recognition for the quality of its automotive programs. The College was ranked second in the nation in 1996 for both affiliated and non-affiliated programs; first in 1997 for its non-manufacturer affiliated program; and first in 1998 for its manufacturer-affiliated programs. In 2006, the GM-ASEO was also named the top manufacturer-affiliated post-secondary automotive program in the nation by the Automotive Industry Planning Council (AIPC).
