Courtney Miller
Miller eclipsed the 500 victory mark in 2006 (her 16th year of collegiate coaching) and was recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association with the Easton Victory Club award. She established SCC's inaugural fastpitch team in 1995 and, under her direction, has produced more than 60 All-Conference players, more than 20 All-State players and eight All-Americans. Her team excels not only on the field but also in the classroom. Sixty-five players have earned Academic All-Conference honors, as well as 36 Academic All-State honorees and 21 have been named Academic All-Americans. The 2006 squad was ranked 18th nationally in team GPA, with a 2.93 Before joining SCC, Miller served for three years as head softball coach at St. Cloud University in St. Cloud, Minn. She guided the Huskies to the 1992 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournament and Top 10 ranking in the final NCAA Division II softball poll. Miller is a native of Jasper, Mo. She is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University, where she played softball for two seasons. Miller is well versed in community college athletic program administration, earning her A.A. degree from Crowder Junior College in Neosho, Mo., where she played basketball and softball. The softball team finished second and fourth in the nation the two years she was there. In addition to her role as head coach, Miller is also a full-time SCC professor, teaching courses in Wellness, Health and College Success. She also serves as the Athletic Academic Adviser for all student-athletes at Seminole Community College. |

The 2007 season marks the 13th season for
Courtney Miller as Head Coach of the Raiders' softball program. During her tenure as head coach, Miller has
built a nationally recognized program that has compiled a 482-300-1 record and qualified
for the FCCAA/Region VIII State Tournament in each of the past six years.
