Bobby Washington, Men's Basketball Head Coach

The 2007-08 season marks the third year for Robert L. "Bobby" Washington Jr., as head coach for the Raiders. Washington joined the SCC coaching staff after serving two years as an assistant coach for the Florida A&M University Rattlers.

Washington's college playing career was injury-plagued, resulting in only one full season of play with Bellville Area Junior College. He completed his bachelor's degree in Juvenile Services and Corrections at Eastern Kentucky University in 2001 and continued at EKU, earning his master's in Criminal Justice in 2003.

Washington began his coaching career in 2001 as a volunteer, assisting the boy,s basketball coach at his alma mater Bryan Station High School in Lexington, Ky. The following season, he served as a graduate assistant coach at Eastern Kentucky in Richmond, Ky.
