SCC Athletic Training and Sports Medicine Students and Volunteers

Seminole Community College Athletic Training supports the sports medicine academic process.

There are many components in the steps toward earning a degree, national certification and state licensure in Athletic Training. Two important steps include pre-program observation under the supervision of a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and program-assigned clinical rotations.
Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) Clinical Students

Joseph ToenjesSemester clinical rotations at approved athletic training environments will be a part of the ATEP experience of an Athletic Training Student. Seminole Community College Athletics' athletic training is one such approved affiliation site with the University of Central Florida's Athletic Training Education Program.

We welcome back our UCF ATS as he returns to SCC for a clinical affiliation assignment with Raider Baseball.

Joseph Toenjes from Melbourne High School

Mr. Joseph Toenjes is a University of Central Florida Athletic Training Education Program graduate. Mr. Toenjes' is now working as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Mr. Toenjes' ambitions lay with providing Athletic Training services within the minor league baseball organization

Pre-Curriculum Student Observers / Volunteers

An important requirement of acceptance into an accredited athletic training education program (ATEP) is the completion of a minimum of 100 documented clock-hours working, volunteering, and learning with a licensed Certified Athletic Trainer. SCC is currently hosting the following athletic training student volunteers.

Eden Hailab
 
Ms. Hailab is a graduate of Lake Mary High School. Ms. Hailab's current goals encompass the completion of pre-med prerequisites here at SCC while contributing to the Sports Medicine services of SCC Athletics. "Although I haven't decided on a specific route, my current ambitions lay with Pharmacy," Ms. Hailab stated.
