Music Practice Rooms

Practice is essential to developing musical talents, but sometimes it can be difficult to find a place to practice. SCC's Music Department offers practice rooms to help you get the practice you'll need to sharpen your skills.

Students enrolled in any Music A.A. degree program must practice for at least one hour per day. Practice rooms are located in G109-G112 (the Fine Arts Building) and can only be accessed through the use of a code, which is given to students upon entering the program.

To take adavantage of this resource, students must sign up for a practice time—for a maximum of two hours per day. If the room has not been signed out, it is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. G107, G108 and G114 are NOT open practice rooms. They are used for private instruction only.

Practice room rules are as follows:

  • Keep the rooms neat.
  • No food or beverages are allowed in the practice rooms. Damage to instruments, no matter how minor, will result in the loss of practice room privileges.
