Altamonte Springs Campus: Now Open

Expanding Access To Higher Education

Since 1966, Seminole Community College has been the only public college serving Seminole County, educating hundreds of thousands of successful graduates, and serving as a driving force in Central Florida's economic development. Now, in partnership with Altamonte Springs city leaders and area healthcare organizations, SCC has built a major college campus that will create and deliver programs to serve the southwestern Seminole County community, a rapidly-expanding area that contains more than one-third of all Seminole County households.

  • Education: Education is our business. SCC delivers programs that provide our students the knowledge and skills required to keep pace with and succeed. By expanding the horizons and capabilities of college students and fostering a well-trained, highly-skilled work force, Seminole Community College plays a vital role in supporting and enhancing our Central Florida region.
  • Innovative, Quality Curriculum: SCC's program offerings at the new Altamonte Springs Campus are designed to better equip today's students for tomorrow. The high-tech, learning-centered Campus concentrates on three key academic areas:

    • Healthcare - SCC's renowned nursing, respiratory therapy, physical therapy assisting, health information management and other state-of-the-art nursing and allied health programs are located in close proximity to many of Central Florida's major healthcare facilities.
    • A.A. Degree - Foreign language, lab-based biology, expanded social science and other liberal arts courses and programs make it even more convenient for Seminole County students to earn their Associate of Arts degrees in preparation for their baccalaureate studies at the university level.
    • Adult Education - ABE/GED, English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses.
