President's Message

At Seminole Community College, our commitment to offering extraordinary learning opportunities for our students has resulted in record growth and unprecedented student success throughout our College.

• This year, SCC will serve more than 29,000 students from Central Florida and 108 countries from around the world.
• Over the past five years, SCC has grown to become one of the largest community colleges in Florida.
• Last year, SCC was the 24th largest producer of A.A. degrees among community colleges in the U.S.
• Nearly, one out of three graduates from Seminole County's public high schools are now enrolling at SCC (vs. 20 percent just five years ago).

Seminole Community College will continue to move forward rapidly with a host of initiatives in our commitment to meet the needs of our county and our region. Florida Hospital, Orlando Regional Health System and Central Florida Regional Hospital have donated $327,000 to expand our Nursing Program. The Central Florida Auto Dealers Association and its members contributed $2.5 million toward the construction of a new professional Automotive Training Center at the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus. We have opened the Center for Economic Development in Heathrow and a new Altamonte Springs Campus. Additionally, UCF now offers 20 baccalaureate degrees at the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus, with the likelihood of even more UCF/SCC partnerships in the months ahead.

Our mission at SCC is also enhanced by our growing diversity, mirroring Seminole County's increasingly diverse heritages and perspectives.
